William H. O'Rourke
Bill is a highly skilled transactional and business lawyer with over 40 years of experience in representing small and medium-sized businesses in all of their transactional needs. After a career with a large Denver firm heading up their real estate department, Bill has grown a solo practice focusing primarily on business transactions and general resolution of business disputes. Typical transactions involve real estate leasing, acquisitions, sales and financing transactions, entity formation and governance issues, employment law issues, business merger and acquisition transactions, succession planning, and ownership transition, often involving specialized trust and estate planning.
Our Experience
I began my legal career in a large firm and was limited solely to developing a transactional practice focusing on real estate and general business transactions. Litigation matters affecting my growing client base were dealt with by litigation lawyers in our firm. After I left the firm and pursued a solo practice, I learned to be an accomplished commercial litigator. Most importantly, I learned that how the documentation in a commercial transaction might reflect, can oftentimes be viewed quite differently by the judge or jury deciding how to resolve a complex commercial dispute. My transactional practice made me a much better litigator and my litigation practice ha>made me a much better transactional lawyer.
